Little Apples Child Care Inc.
Your child’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. We are proud to be:
-
Working through the licensing process with The Ministry of Education.
-
In strict compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
-
Staffed by dedicated professionals committed to the highest standards of early childhood education.
We embrace a play-based learning curriculum because we know that children learn best when they are actively engaged and curious. Whether they are building a complex block tower, experimenting with water tension, or storytelling, they are developing critical thinking, self-regulation, and literacy skills in a way that is joyful and meaningful.
We believe every child is intelligent and capable!
Infant Program
Infant Program (Ages 0–18 Months)
Nurturing, Calm, and Responsive . Our infant room is a peaceful sanctuary designed for our youngest learners. We focus on building secure attachments through one-on-one interaction and responsive care. Our educators follow each infant’s unique natural rhythm for feeding and sleep while introducing sensory-rich experiences—like music, tummy time, and tactile play—to support brain development.
-
Ratio: 1 Teacher to 3 Infants
-
This low ratio ensures that your baby receives the constant physical closeness and immediate response they need to feel secure.
-
Toddler Program
Toddler Program (Ages 18 Months–2.5 Years)
Active, Curious, and Social. Toddlers are natural explorers! Our program channels their boundless energy into productive discovery. We focus heavily on developing independence (such as self-feeding and dressing) and social skills (like sharing and empathy). Through a variety of "learning stations"—including dramatic play, sensory bins, and outdoor exploration—toddlers begin to navigate their social world with confidence.
-
Ratio: 1 Teacher to 5 Toddlers
-
This ratio allows our educators to safely supervise active play while being available to guide toddlers through the "big emotions" and social milestones of this age.
-
Pre- School Program
Preschool Program (Ages 2.5–5 Years)
Creative, Inquisitive, and Collaborative. In our preschool room, play becomes more complex and collaborative. We prepare children for the transition to kindergarten by integrating early math and literacy concepts into their daily activities. Children engage in long-term projects based on their specific questions and passions, which helps them develop focus, cooperation, and the ability to communicate their ideas clearly.
-
Ratio: 1 Teacher to 8 Preschoolers
-
At this stage, we encourage more peer-to-peer interaction and group work, with teachers acting as facilitators to guide their growing independence.
